Frequently
Asked Questions
It
depends on many variables. Based on your answers to
a set of standard questions, we can make a preliminary
tent recommendation.
Tent Calculator
Yes.
The size may be restricted by elements surrounding
the tent such as railings, light fixtures, etc. A
site review is always required for installation on
a deck.
Yes.
We maintain a large inventory of tables and chairs to accessorize
your tent.
Tables and chairs are rented as a "tailgate delivery". They are delivered to your site and placed
under the tent. There is a separate charge for setup.
Yes,
but we refer to them as sidewalls. The sidewalls are added
to the tent after it is setup. They can be rolled
up and tied to provide an open tent and dropped during
the function if the need arises.
Tents
come in a variety of colors, however, we do maintain a large stock of white wedding tents.
A
pole tent is the type of tent you may have seen if
you ever attended a circus. It has one or more long
poles in the center of the tent. A frame tent has
no center poles so it provides full use of the space
under the tent. Frame tents are traditionally more
labor-intensive to install, so, in most cases, you
will find the rental cost higher than a conventional
pole tent.
Tents
themselves are not heated, but we can provide heat
for a tent during colder seasons. In fact, we install
many tents on decks during the holidays to help our
customers expand their somewhat limited living space.
Yes.
We maintain an inventory of various lighting styles
to further enhance your tent. You can see photos elsewhere
on our website.
An
awning is usually a permanent fixture that is attached
to a structure such as a home or a building. Some
awnings are removed from the building in winter months
and stored until spring when they are "rehung".
| How do I know how much space I need for my tent? |
Allow
a minimum of ten feet around the perimeter of the
tent for setup. That means if you order a 20’x20’
tent, the area you need for installation is 30’x30’.
We can work with smaller spaces, but please advise
us beforehand so our tent crew can be prepared when
they arrive. Other
space factors to consider are overhead power lines,
tree branches, eave lines, and other obstructions
overhead that may prevent safe tent installation.
| How big a tent do I need? |
Tent
size would depend on the number of guests you have
and the
nature of your function. Our sales staff can assist
you in determining the size of tent that you will
require. In addition, we can supply you with a scale
diagram of your tent and equipment placement (i.e.
table arrangement).
